How to play
- Make words from the nine letters.
- Every word must use the centre letter. It has a solid background.
- Words need 4 letters or more. Each letter can be used once per word.
- One word uses all nine letters. Can you find it?
- Reach the targets: Good, Very good and Excellent.
- Unusual words are accepted as bonus words, but don't count towards the targets.
- There's a new puzzle every day at midnight. Everyone gets the same one, so you can compare with friends.
- There's no timer. Take as long as you like.
Tap letters to build a word, then tap Enter. Tap the last letter again, or Delete, to remove it. With a keyboard, type the word and press Return.
Put Nine on your Home Screen
Nine works without the internet once it's on your Home Screen, and your progress is kept safely.
- Open this page in Safari.
- Tap the Share button (a square with an arrow pointing up). On newer iPhones it's inside the ⋯ menu at the bottom. On iPad it's at the top right.
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
- Open Nine from its new icon.
On Android, use Chrome's ⋮ menu and choose Add to Home screen or Install app.
